The TITAN USA TE82713 is a square end mill designed for material removal and profiling operations on machining centers and manual mills. It is manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, which provides heat resistance and edge retention in harder ferrous materials. The cutter measures 0.3125 inches in diameter with a 0.375 inch shank diameter and an overall length of 2.3125 inches. The 0.5625 inch length of cut, 2-flute configuration, and 30-degree helix angle suit slotting, peripheral milling, and light plunge work. The bright, uncoated finish is standard for cobalt tooling used across general-purpose shop applications. This tool is center-cutting and features an upcut, right-hand flute direction with right-hand cutting rotation.
This end mill is suited for use in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments where a mid-size fractional-diameter cutter is required. The 5/16 inch diameter and 3/8 inch shank make it compatible with standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style holders found on vertical machining centers and knee mills. It is appropriate for milling steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and similar ferrous materials at moderate cutting speeds. The 2-flute geometry improves chip clearance in slotting applications compared to higher-flute-count tools.
Designed as a general-purpose fractional square end mill compatible with standard 3/8 inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and Weldon-style tool holders on vertical machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Torque the holder to the tool holder manufacturer specification using the appropriate wrench — do not use improvised tools. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and set speeds and feeds according to the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
