The TITAN USA TE81342 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for milling operations that demand heat resistance and edge retention on tough ferrous materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it features an AlTiN coating that reduces friction and extends tool life in high-temperature cutting environments. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 0.75 inches in diameter with a 1.625-inch length of cut and a 3.625-inch overall length, this end mill suits general-purpose slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in manual and CNC machining setups. The 0.5-inch Weldon flat shank provides a secure, anti-pullout grip in standard end mill holders.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other harder alloys where cobalt tooling outperforms standard HSS. The right-hand cut and right-hand upcut flute geometry make it a direct fit for conventional vertical machining centers and manual knee mills. The center-cutting design allows for direct plunge entry, adding versatility for applications that require both plunging and side milling in a single tool path. It is used by machinists and toolmakers in production shops and maintenance environments.
Compatible with standard 0.5-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and Weldon-style set-screw holders used on vertical machining centers and manual knee mills. Designed as a direct-fit replacement or working tool for operations requiring a 0.75-inch diameter, 4-flute cobalt square end mill with a 0.5-inch shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat against the set screw in the holder to prevent axial and rotational pullout, and verify runout with a dial indicator before engaging the cut. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut when programming or setting up the operation.
