The TITAN USA TE81336 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for metal cutting in milling machines and machining centers. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with an AlTiN coating, it handles tough ferrous and heat-resistant alloys where standard HSS tools wear quickly. The cutter measures 0.625 inches in diameter with a 1.625-inch length of cut and a 3.75-inch overall length. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This tool is center-cutting, so it can plunge directly into workpieces. It is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for side milling, slotting, and profiling operations in ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys. The AlTiN coating adds heat resistance and extends tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. The Weldon flat shank provides a positive grip in side-lock holders, reducing the risk of pullout during heavy cuts. With a 0.625-inch shank diameter matching the cutter diameter, it fits standard 5/8-inch collets and end mill holders. Typical applications include mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and general precision metal removal.
Designed for use in standard 5/8-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and side-lock Weldon-style holders on vertical and horizontal milling machines and CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the Weldon flat shank fully into the holder and tighten the set screw against the flat to the holder manufacturer's specified torque. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
