The TITAN USA TC90928 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 7/16-inch cutting diameter and a 5/8-inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers consistent material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge, extending tool life under demanding conditions. Four right-hand flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Micrograin carbide construction provides the edge retention and rigidity required for tight-tolerance work.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, and profiles on CNC machining centers and manual mills in job shop, production, and maintenance environments. The centercutting geometry allows plunge cutting directly into the workpiece without pre-drilling. The 7/16-inch shank diameter is a direct fit for standard collets and end mill holders. Typical applications include die work, mold finishing, and general-purpose side and face milling in ferrous alloys, stainless steel, and hardened materials where a TiCN coating provides a durability advantage over uncoated tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-production solid carbide square end mill compatible with any machine spindle or toolholder accepting a 7/16-inch straight shank via ER collet, end mill holder, or equivalent workholding system.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe, locked-out state per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clean before torquing the collet nut or setscrew to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use; carbide tooling is brittle and can fracture if used with damaged edges or improper runout. A licensed machinist or qualified toolroom technician should verify speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut parameters for the specific workpiece material before beginning a new operation.
