The TITAN USA TC87598 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. With a reamer diameter of 0.5010 inches and a tight tolerance of +0.0003 to -0.0000 inches, this tool delivers accurate, repeatable results in production and job-shop environments. The overall length is 4 inches, with a 1.5-inch flute length and a straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 0.5010 inches. Six straight flutes with a right-hand cutting direction provide smooth, controlled material removal. It carries a bright, uncoated finish and does not require coolant-through capability. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this reamer for final-pass bore sizing where dimensional accuracy is critical.
This chucking reamer is suited for finishing pre-drilled or bored holes in ferrous and non-ferrous metals in both manual and CNC machine setups. The straight flute geometry makes it appropriate for through-holes and materials that produce short, breaking chips. The straight-cylindrical shank allows direct mounting in standard drill chucks, collet chucks, or floating reamer holders. It is part of the TC87 series and is a practical choice for shops requiring consistent hole quality on production runs or precision repair work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard chucking reamer for use in drill presses, milling machines, and CNC machining centers that accept straight-cylindrical shank tooling in the 0.5010-inch diameter range.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with reaming operations and machine tool safety. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is securely clamped in the holder before beginning setup. A pre-drilled or bored pilot hole should be sized appropriately to leave only the recommended stock allowance for reaming. Never use a reamer to remove excessive material in a single pass, as this can cause chatter, tool deflection, or damage to the bore finish.
