The TITAN USA TC87277 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.2200-inch reamer diameter held to a tight tolerance of +0.0002 to -0.0000 inches, this tool delivers accurate, repeatable hole sizing in a single pass. The straight-cylindrical shank seats firmly in standard drill chucks or collet holders. At 3 inches overall length with a 1-inch flute length, it is suited for through-hole and shallow blind-hole reaming where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this style of reamer.
This reamer is used in production machining, job shop, and maintenance repair environments where holes require final sizing to close tolerances. The 4-flute straight design is well matched to reaming ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, aluminum, brass, and cast iron. The bright uncoated finish makes it easy to inspect for wear. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation. The TC87 series from TITAN USA covers a broad range of decimal-inch diameters for general-purpose chucking reamer applications.
Designed as a general-purpose chucking reamer for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, drill presses, and lathes equipped with standard drill chucks or collet holders accepting a straight-cylindrical shank.
Install and removal should be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per standard machine-safety procedures. Seat the straight shank fully and evenly in the chuck or collet before tightening to avoid runout. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve finish quality. Inspect cutting edges before each use and remove the reamer from service at the first sign of chipping or wear.
