The TITAN USA TC87251 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. With a reamer diameter of 0.1980 inches and a tight tolerance of +0.0002 to -0.0000 inches, it delivers accurate, repeatable bore sizing critical in production environments. The 4-flute straight design with a right-hand cutting direction produces clean finishes in a single pass. At 3 inches overall length with a 1 inch flute length and a straight-cylindrical shank, this reamer seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. Machinists and tool and die professionals specify solid carbide construction for its rigidity and wear resistance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
The TC87251 is suited for precision reaming operations in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes where consistent bore diameter is required. It is commonly used in job shop and production environments when finishing drilled holes to close tolerances in steel, aluminum, brass, and similar machinable materials. The bright uncoated finish makes it a general-purpose option before moving to coated variants for specific high-volume applications. This reamer ships individually and is part of the TITAN USA TC87 series.
Designed as a direct-fit chucking reamer for use with standard straight-shank tool holders, drill chucks, and collet systems accepting a 0.1980 inch shank diameter. Part of the TITAN USA TC87 series.
Chucking reamers are installed and operated by machinists following standard machine tool safety procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain surface finish quality. Do not use a reamer to remove excessive stock — drill the hole to within 0.005 to 0.015 inches of final size before reaming, following the tool manufacturer and shop practice guidelines.
