The TITAN USA TC87241 is a solid carbide chucking reamer engineered for precision hole finishing in machine shop and production environments. With a 0.1900-inch reaming diameter and a tight tolerance of +0.0002 to -0.0000 inches, this tool delivers consistent, accurate bore sizing in a single pass. The 4-flute, straight-flute geometry provides smooth cutting action with right-hand rotation. At 2.75 inches overall length with a 0.875-inch flute length, the TC87241 is sized for compact, close-tolerance work. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard chucks or collets on CNC machining centers, manual mills, and drill presses. It carries an uncoated bright finish, leaving the carbide substrate exposed for use across a broad range of materials.
The TC87241 is suited for reaming through-holes and blind holes in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites where dimensional accuracy is critical. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision fabricators use this reamer in production runs and maintenance applications where bore finish and size control must meet tight engineering tolerances. Its compact overall length makes it well suited for workpieces with limited clearance or shallow-depth reaming requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for use in standard chuck or collet toolholding systems on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses where a straight-cylindrical shank is required.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with rotating cutting tool safety. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a properly sized chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before engaging the workpiece. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the workpiece material to extend tool life and improve bore finish. Never exceed the spindle speed and feed rate recommended for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
