The TITAN USA TC79203 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to No. 3 wire gauge (0.2130 inches diameter) and built for high-productivity drilling in demanding materials. The bit features an ALTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, which raises surface hardness and heat resistance compared to uncoated carbide, making it well-suited for dry or near-dry cutting conditions. The 118-degree split-point geometry reduces walking at entry and lowers thrust force, allowing clean, accurate hole starts without a center punch. Overall length is 3 inches with a 1.75-inch spiral flute and a straight-cylindrical shank. Two regular-spiral flutes evacuate chips efficiently during through-hole and blind-hole operations.
This bit is rated for general-purpose drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium alloys, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, K, and S. The 8xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 1.75-inch maximum drilling depth make it practical for typical production and maintenance drilling operations.
