The TITAN USA TC79004 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding materials. Built on the TC79 series platform, this bit features an ALTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that extends tool life by reducing heat buildup and improving wear resistance at the cutting edge. The 118-degree standard point angle suits general-purpose entry geometry, and the right-hand spiral flute configuration evacuates chips efficiently during through-hole and blind-hole operations. At 0.0625 inches in diameter with a 1.5-inch overall length, this drill is sized for tight-tolerance work in metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, and maintenance applications.
This drill bit is engineered for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium, covering ISO material groups P, M, K, and S. It is well suited for production drilling, toolroom work, and field maintenance where a small-diameter, high-performance drill is required. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks and collet holders. A 3/4-inch flute length provides a maximum drilling depth of 0.75 inches, making it appropriate for shallow to mid-depth hole applications in hard and abrasive workpiece materials.
Designed as a general-purpose solid carbide jobber drill for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium workpieces. Fits any standard drill chuck or collet holder accepting a 1/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tool-and-die technician familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in a collet or drill chuck before operation and verify there is no runout, as carbide is brittle and susceptible to breakage from lateral loading. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material and drill diameter.
