The TITAN USA TC74648 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. It features a 5/8 inch (0.6250 inch) mill diameter, a 0.0300 inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree medium helix angle. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating improves heat resistance and tool life when cutting hard and abrasive materials. With a 3.0000 inch reach length and 6 inch overall length, this is an extra-long configuration suited for deep-cavity and extended-reach applications. The end type is corner radius, which reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in roughing and finishing operations.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling operations targeting superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals. The extra-long flute geometry and AlTiN coating make it well suited for aerospace, medical, and industrial component machining where tight tolerances and difficult workpiece materials are standard. It accepts standard straight-cylindrical toolholders with a 5/8 inch shank and is configured for single-end, right-hand cutting with a normal pitch flute layout.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 5/8 inch shank diameter. Suited for machining superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron. Shank diameter tolerance is h6.
Installation and use of this end mill is performed by qualified machinists on CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank, and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut, as excess runout accelerates edge wear on solid carbide tooling. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling.
