The TITAN USA TC74643 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built with a 1/2 inch diameter and a 0.0600 inch corner radius, this four-flute tool delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single pass. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hard, abrasive materials. At 6 inches overall length with a 3 inch length of cut, this extra-long configuration reaches deep pockets and cavities that standard-length end mills cannot access. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is engineered primarily for superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge compared to a sharp square end, improving tool life in interrupted cuts and full-slot operations. The extra-long reach makes it well suited for deep-cavity mold work, aerospace component machining, and precision die work where standard-reach tooling falls short. It accepts straight-cylindrical shank toolholders with a 1/2 inch bore.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch cylindrical shank. Suitable for CNC machining centers running superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron workpieces.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Secure the shank to the specified runout tolerance of the toolholder before use; shank diameter tolerance is h6. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut before engaging the tool. Do not exceed the rated length of cut of 3 inches, and inspect the corner radius for wear regularly when machining abrasive or high-temperature alloys.
