The TITAN USA TC74609 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 0.25 inch diameter, a 1.5 inch length of cut, and a 0.030 inch corner radius that protects the cutting edge and extends tool life in hard-to-machine materials. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a medium helix angle supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and surface hardness, making this end mill well-suited for high-heat cutting environments. The straight cylindrical shank measures 0.25 inch in diameter with an h6 tolerance for consistent toolholder fit.
This end mill is built for machinists working with superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, cast iron, and alloy steel. The extra-long overall length of 4 inches and a 1.5 inch reach length give clearance for deep-pocket and extended-reach operations. The TC74609 is a single-end, center-cutting capable design with normal pitch and no chipbreaker, making it appropriate for slotting, contouring, and profiling on CNC machining centers. It is used with standard straight-shank toolholders and collet systems.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank toolholders and collet chucks. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloy, Inconel, stainless steel, cast iron, and alloy steel. UNSPSC Code 27112803.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists on CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the toolholder and collet are clean and within manufacturer runout specifications before seating the shank. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against published cutting data for the specific workpiece material before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the rated length of cut or reach length, as overextension increases deflection and risk of tool breakage.
