The TITAN USA TC74606 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built with four flutes and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating, it handles superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, Inconel, and alloy steel. The mill measures 0.1875 inches in diameter with a 0.0300-inch corner radius, a 1.125-inch reach length, and a 3.0-inch overall length. The extra-long configuration makes it suitable for deep-pocket and extended-reach milling operations. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard. This tool is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in job shops, aerospace, and heavy manufacturing environments.
The TC74606 is suited for both roughing and finishing operations on ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and titanium alloys. Its spiral flute geometry and medium helix angle support chip evacuation in difficult-to-machine materials. The 0.6250-inch length of cut and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard toolholders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers. The corner radius end type reduces stress concentrations at part corners and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner end mills in high-load cuts.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders in CNC machining centers. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, and ferrous metals.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup personnel. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a compatible toolholder and verify runout before beginning a cut. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut based on workpiece material. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use, particularly when machining superalloys or titanium alloys.
