The TITAN USA TC74601 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of superalloys, titanium, stainless steel, cast iron, and alloy steel including Inconel. It carries a 0.1250 inch mill diameter with a 0.0150 inch corner radius and features an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating that extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The four-flute, right-hand spiral configuration supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. With an extra-long 3.0 inch overall length and a 1.0 inch reach, this end mill suits deep-pocket and extended-reach applications where standard-length tooling cannot reach.
This end mill is built for machining environments that demand tight tolerances and high-heat resistance. It is commonly used in aerospace, defense, medical device, and precision manufacturing shops working with difficult-to-machine ferrous metals and high-temperature alloys. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard toolholders. Its extra-long length type makes it applicable where conventional end mills lack sufficient reach, and its normal pitch and medium helix angle balance chip evacuation with surface finish quality.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 0.1250 inch diameter shank. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, alloy steel, and Inconel.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine fully powered down and the spindle at a complete stop. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of debris before seating the tool to the specified projection length. Verify runout at the cutting edge after clamping, as excessive runout will accelerate premature edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when selecting speeds and feeds for the target workpiece material.
