The TITAN USA TC74435 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, alloy steel, titanium alloy, and Inconel. It carries a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 0.0450 inch corner radius, and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating that extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. With 4 flutes and a medium 30-degree helix, the TC74435 handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. It is a single-end, right-hand cut design with a straight-cylindrical shank, sized for standard toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is built for applications involving superalloys and titanium, stainless steel, and cast iron — materials that place high thermal and mechanical demands on cutting tools. The long-length configuration, combined with the 1.0000 inch reach length and 0.2340 inch length of cut, suits pocketing, contouring, and profiling passes where a standard-length tool would lack adequate reach. It is used primarily in production shops and job shops running aerospace, medical, energy, and general industrial workpieces. The corner radius end type reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, improving tool life compared to a sharp-corner end mill in these material categories.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders including ER collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter. Rated for primary workpiece materials including superalloys, titanium, stainless steel, cast iron, alloy steel, and Inconel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the shank is clean and fully seated to the recommended gauge-line depth before torquing the retention mechanism. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut before engaging the tool. Do not exceed the tool's rated length of cut during plunge or peripheral milling operations.
