The TITAN USA TC74425 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 3/8 inch mill diameter, a 0.0450 inch corner radius, and a 1.125 inch length of cut, this tool handles both roughing and finishing passes without requiring a tool change. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration runs at a 30-degree medium helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation. An AlTiN physical vapor deposition coating adds thermal resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life when cutting abrasive and heat-resistant workpiece materials. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/8 inch and mounts directly into standard toolholders.
This end mill is engineered for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills cutting superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals. Its single-end, long-length geometry suits deep-pocket milling, contouring, and profiling operations where a standard-length tool cannot reach. Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and power isolated per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of chips or coolant residue before seating the tool. Verify runout after clamping using a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Consult the machine manufacturer and toolholder specifications for appropriate clamping torque and stick-out length to minimize vibration.
