The TITAN USA TC74424 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built with a 0.030-inch corner radius and four right-hand spiral flutes, it handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments. At 3/8 inch (0.3750 inch) diameter with a 1.125-inch reach length and 3-inch overall length, this is a long-series end mill suited for reaching into deeper pockets and slots. Machinists and toolroom operators working with heat-resistant alloys and stainless steel will find this tool spec-appropriate for production and job-shop use alike.
The TC74424 is specifically rated for superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals. Its medium helix angle and normal pitch geometry provide stable chip evacuation across these materials. The straight cylindrical shank is compatible with standard toolholders and collet chucks. This end mill is well suited for CNC machining centers running contour milling, slotting, and profiling operations where corner radius geometry reduces stress concentrations at inside radii.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders and collet chucks. Rated for superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron (primary material codes S, M, K).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians on CNC or manual milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with an indicator before cutting to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
