The TITAN USA TC74413 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. The tool features a 1/4 inch (0.2500 inch) diameter, a 0.0200 inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a medium 30-degree helix angle. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides elevated heat resistance and surface hardness, making this end mill well suited for extended tool life in abrasive and high-temperature materials. The TC74413 is configured as a single-end, straight-cylindrical shank tool with a long-length geometry, accommodating deeper reach applications that standard-length mills cannot address.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling operations targeting superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals. The corner radius end geometry reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge compared to a sharp-corner square end mill, improving edge life in roughing and finishing passes. Typical applications include aerospace component machining, die and mold work, and precision part production where both material hardness and finish quality are concerns. The tool mounts in standard straight-shank toolholders compatible with 1/4 inch bore.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes superalloys, titanium alloy, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and ferrous metals. UNSPSC commodity code 27112803.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Spindle speed and feed rate should be set according to the workpiece material and toolholder manufacturer recommendations for 1/4 inch carbide end mills with AlTiN coating. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or use side-loading forces that exceed the reach geometry limits.
