The TITAN USA TC74404 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding materials including superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and Inconel. It features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) mill diameter, a 0.0150 inch corner radius, and four flutes with a right-hand spiral and medium 30-degree helix angle. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, making this tool well suited for high-temperature alloy applications. With a length of cut of 0.6250 inches and an overall length of 2.5 inches, it fits standard straight-cylindrical toolholders. Installation and use are intended for qualified machinists and tooling professionals.
This end mill is used in both roughing and finishing operations on ferrous and high-temperature alloy workpieces. Its corner radius end geometry reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge, extending tool life in hard-material applications. The single-end, centercutting-capable design with right-hand cutting direction suits vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. It is a long-length tool configuration with a 3/4 inch reach, providing clearance in deeper-cavity work. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits precision toolholders commonly used in production and job-shop environments.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders. Rated for primary workpiece materials including superalloys, titanium alloy, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron (material codes S, M, K).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC tooling setup and cutting parameters. Ensure the toolholder is clean and the shank is fully seated and secured before operation. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before cutting. Do not exceed the tool's rated length of cut or reach depth to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
