The TITAN USA TC74138 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 3/8 inch diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.5 mm (0.0200 inch) corner radius that blends strength with finish quality at part edges. The 4-flute, single-end geometry with a 30-degree medium helix provides efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating adds thermal resistance and hardness, making this tool well suited for high-heat, abrasive materials. The straight cylindrical shank measures 3/8 inch in diameter, and overall length is 2.5 inches. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments install this tool for both roughing and finishing passes.
The TC74138 is rated for use on superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals. Its corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in interrupted cuts and high-feed applications. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. This end mill is a strong fit for aerospace, medical, oil and gas, and general precision machining where tight tolerances and difficult materials are the norm.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch shank diameter. Suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills running superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and Inconel workpieces.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a clean, properly sized toolholder bore before tightening. Inspect the shank and collet or holder bore for chips or damage prior to seating the tool. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque guidelines and verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing the cut.
