The TITAN USA TC74124 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It carries a 1/4 inch (0.2500 inch) mill diameter with a 0.0600 inch corner radius and four right-hand spiral flutes at a 30-degree helix angle. The cutting length is 0.7500 inches, and the overall length is 2.5 inches. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, making this tool well-suited for aggressive cuts in hard and abrasive workpiece materials. It is a single-end, straight-cylindrical shank tool configured for both roughing and finishing passes.
This end mill is intended for professional machinists and CNC tooling technicians working in aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing environments. It is optimized for cutting superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals. The corner radius geometry reduces edge chipping and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner end mills, particularly in interrupted cuts and high-feed applications. It mounts in standard straight-shank toolholders compatible with a 1/4 inch shank diameter.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout accelerates corner radius wear on carbide tooling.
