The TITAN USA TC73938 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. It measures 3/8 inch in diameter with a 5/8 inch length of cut and features a 0.50 mm corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in abrasive materials. The four-flute, right-hand helical geometry supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals working on CNC machining centers and milling machines.
This end mill is designed for use in ferrous metals, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium alloys, high-temperature alloys, alloy steel, and Inconel. Its stub-length profile and straight-cylindrical shank make it well suited for applications requiring rigidity in tight setups. The centercutting geometry supports direct plunging where needed. Typical applications include aerospace component machining, precision mold work, and production milling in job shops and manufacturing facilities that regularly process difficult-to-machine materials.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suited for CNC milling applications in superalloys, titanium alloy, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals per the manufacturer material application data.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. The shank should be seated fully and securely in a compatible toolholder before use, and runout should be verified with a dial indicator prior to cutting. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for speeds, feeds, and coolant strategy when cutting superalloys or titanium alloys, as improper parameters can cause premature tool failure.
