The TITAN USA TC73932 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It measures 5/16 inches in diameter with a 1/2 inch length of cut, a 0.045 inch corner radius, and a 2 inch overall length. The four-flute, single-end design with a right-hand helical flute geometry supports both roughing and finishing passes. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating extends tool life when cutting abrasive and heat-resistant workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, and precision manufacturing environments rely on this geometry for edge protection and consistent radius blending.
This end mill is suited for milling superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals. The stub-length configuration provides rigidity during high-feed passes, making it appropriate for applications where tool deflection must be minimized. The 5/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly in standard collet chucks and compatible toolholders. It is used in both horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers where corner radius geometry is required to reduce stress concentrations in milled pockets, slots, and profiles.
Designed for use with standard collet-style toolholders accepting a 5/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with toolholder runout tolerances and cutting parameter selection. Ensure the toolholder collet bore is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Verify tool projection and runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material being machined.
