The TITAN USA TC73926 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It carries a 5/16 inch cutting diameter with a 1/64 inch (0.0150 inch) corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in tough materials. The 4-flute, right-hand helical geometry and AlTiN PVD coating make this end mill well suited for dry or semi-dry cutting at elevated temperatures. With a 1/2 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length, it fits into a straight-cylindrical toolholder at a 5/16 inch shank diameter. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals reach for this stub-length tool when rigidity and finish quality are both priorities.
This end mill is built for roughing and finishing operations on superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, cast iron, alloy steel, and other ferrous metals. The stub-length configuration limits overhang and improves chatter resistance when working in tight setups or shallow pockets. The single-end, center-cutting capable design supports plunge entry where required. It is intended for use with a standard toolholder in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped for right-hand rotation.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 5/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloy, Inconel, stainless steel, cast iron, and alloy steel.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or damage before each setup. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended feeds and speeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
