The TITAN USA TC73906 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) mill diameter, a 0.50 mm (0.0200 inch) corner radius, and four helical flutes, it delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single tool. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides heat and oxidation resistance, making this end mill well suited for cutting superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, Inconel, and alloy steel at elevated temperatures. The straight-cylindrical shank and stub-length profile contribute to rigidity during tight-tolerance operations.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines equipped with a compatible toolholder. Its primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, and ferrous metals, making it a go-to choice for aerospace, medical, and precision manufacturing shops. The single-end, right-hand cutting, right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional and climb milling setups. The stub-length design minimizes deflection, which is critical when holding tight tolerances in hard or gummy materials.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical bore toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter. Suited for machining superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, Inconel, alloy steel, and other ferrous metals. Part of the TITAN USA TC series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is properly cleaned before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tools. Follow your machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the workpiece material.
