The TITAN USA TC66512 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precise material removal in non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, and bronze. The cutter measures 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) in diameter with a 0.0100 inch corner radius and a 3/4 inch length of cut. Three right-hand spiral flutes with a 45-degree high helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth finishes in softer, gummy materials. A ZrN (zirconium nitride) PVD coating increases surface hardness and reduces built-up edge. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, making it suitable for slot milling, profiling, and pocket operations. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for light-duty to medium roughing operations in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and bronze. Its long-reach configuration, with a 3/4 inch reach length and 2.5 inch overall length, makes it appropriate for accessing deeper features or stepped pockets where a standard-length tool would not reach. The straight cylindrical shank mounts in standard toolholders used in vertical machining centers, milling machines, and CNC routers. The coarse pitch geometry is optimized for material removal rate in softer alloys.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual milling machines. Primary workpiece material classification is non-ferrous metal (Material Application Code: N), including aluminum, brass, and bronze.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the straight cylindrical shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder to the toolholder manufacturer's recommended retention torque; confirm runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before tool changes. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as damage to the corner geometry will affect dimensional accuracy at part radii.
