The TITAN USA TC63340 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in metalworking and machining applications. It measures 0.6250 inches in diameter with a 2.375-inch length of cut and a 5-inch overall length. The two-flute, right-hand cut geometry paired with a 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. A zirconium nitride (ZrN) coating adds wear resistance and reduces heat buildup during aggressive cuts. This end mill is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with steel, aluminum, and similar materials on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations in both production and job-shop environments. The upcut flute direction pulls chips up and away from the cut, keeping the work zone clear and reducing re-cutting. Its centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it versatile for pocketing operations without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The 0.625-inch shank diameter provides a secure, rigid toolholder grip, minimizing runout during extended-reach or high-feed passes.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for use in standard 5/8-inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with toolholder torque procedures and runout verification. Always power down the spindle and confirm a zero-energy state before changing cutting tools. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the recommended gauge-length depth and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use; carbide tooling is brittle and should not be forced into a toolholder that shows contamination or damage.
