The TITAN USA TC61508 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling in metal and hard-material applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, it delivers extended tool life under high-heat cutting conditions. The 5-flute configuration provides a balance between chip evacuation and surface finish quality. At 0.125 inches in diameter with a 0.25-inch length of cut and 1.5-inch overall length, this is a compact tool suited for fine-detail work in tight geometries. The 45-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduced vibration. Installed by machinists and CNC operators across job shop and production environments.
This end mill is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where small-diameter, high-precision cuts are required. Its centercutting capability allows both plunge and peripheral milling operations. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional milling setups. The upcut flute geometry pulls chips upward and away from the work surface, helping maintain cut quality. It is well suited for profiling, slotting, and contouring in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where heat resistance and edge retention are priorities.
Designed as a standard shank end mill with a 0.125-inch shank diameter, compatible with ER-style collet chucks and other tool holders accepting 1/8-inch straight shanks in CNC and manual milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use a properly sized collet or tool holder to achieve full shank engagement and minimize runout. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting feed rates and spindle speeds for small-diameter carbide tooling.
