The TITAN USA TC61232 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance finishing operations in demanding materials. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in difficult workpiece materials. The 6-flute, right-hand helical design operates at a high helix angle of 38 degrees with close pitch spacing, promoting smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting action. An AlCromax PVD coating provides thermal resistance and oxidation protection suited for dry or minimum-quantity lubrication machining environments. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tooling technicians in CNC milling applications.
The TC61232 is designed for finishing cuts in superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals. Its long-reach geometry — 2 inch reach length with a 4 inch overall length — makes it well suited for deep-pocket, rib, and contour finishing passes where tool deflection must be minimized. The straight-cylindrical 1/2 inch shank mounts directly into standard collet chucks, end mill holders, or compatible toolholders used in vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Designed for use with standard collet chucks and end mill toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Intended for finishing operations in superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron workpieces on CNC machining centers.
Install in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque to the toolholder manufacturer's specification before use. Verify runout at the cutting edge with a dial indicator before initiating a finishing program, as excess runout accelerates uneven flute wear. Confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation to match the cutting direction of this tool. Follow your facility's lockout and machine-stop procedures before changing or inspecting tooling.
