The TITAN USA TC58216 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.0160-inch cutting diameter and four flutes, this micro end mill delivers clean, accurate cuts in hard and abrasive materials. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. A 30-degree helix angle supports efficient chip evacuation, and the upcut flute geometry pulls chips away from the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard. This tool is suited for CNC machinists and toolroom operators working in tight tolerances on small-feature components.
The TC58216 is used in precision CNC milling operations where small-diameter tooling is required. Typical applications include micro-slot milling, detail contouring, and fine-feature machining on hardened steels, stainless, titanium, and other difficult-to-machine alloys. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard 1/8-inch collets, and the 1.5-inch overall length suits low-profile workholding setups. It is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry where needed. This tool is intended for use by experienced CNC operators and machinists running appropriate feeds and speeds for the workpiece material.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8-inch collet or collet chuck toolholding. Suitable for milling hardened steels, stainless steel, titanium, and similar hard or abrasive workpiece materials where AlTiN-coated carbide tooling is appropriate.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC operator or machinist. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque to the toolholder manufacturer's specification before running. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting — micro-diameter end mills are sensitive to even small amounts of runout. Always confirm appropriate feeds, speeds, and depth of cut for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
