The TITAN USA TC56206 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.006-inch cutting diameter and a 0.018-inch length of cut, this micro end mill is built for fine detail work in hard and abrasive materials. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals running CNC milling centers where tight tolerances and small-feature geometry are required.
This end mill is suited for micro-milling applications in ferrous metals, hardened steels, titanium, and other difficult-to-machine alloys. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard 1/8-inch collets and toolholders commonly found on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles. The 1.5-inch overall length provides sufficient reach for most small-feature cavities while maintaining rigidity. It is a single-end tool with a right-hand cut and right-hand upcut flute orientation.
Designed for use in CNC milling machines and machining centers equipped with 1/8-inch collets or toolholders accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a safe state before loading the tool into the collet. Secure the shank to the full recommended collet grip depth and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. At micro diameters, excessive runout or improper collet seating significantly increases the risk of tool breakage.
