The TITAN USA TC52031 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature work. At 0.0310 inches (1/32 inch) in diameter with a 0.047-inch length of cut, this tool is built for micro-scale slot milling, profiling, and detail work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and edge retention needed for consistent performance at small diameters. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating buildup or contamination is a concern. Machinists and toolroom operators running CNC machining centers will find this end mill suited to high-precision production and prototype work.
The TC52031 is appropriate for use in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers running small-diameter toolpaths. Its 1/8-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard ER collet systems and small-diameter tool holders commonly found in production and job-shop environments. The short 0.047-inch length of cut limits deflection, making it well suited for rigid setups requiring tight dimensional tolerances. It is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with an upcut flute configuration, intended for conventional milling operations where chip direction and surface finish control matter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for CNC machining centers equipped with 1/8-inch collet or tool holder systems accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom operator. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or tool holder and torque the retention system per the tool holder manufacturer specifications before beginning any cut. At sub-1/16-inch diameters, feed rates and spindle speeds must be carefully programmed to avoid tool breakage — do not exceed the recommended chip load for the workpiece material. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before each use; carbide micro-tools are brittle and susceptible to edge chipping from improper handling or storage.
