The TITAN USA TC50806 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 0.5 mm (0.0200 inch) mill diameter with a 0.005 inch corner radius and four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree medium helix. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating delivers elevated heat resistance and surface hardness, making this tool well-suited for cutting superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, and cast iron. The centercutting design allows both plunge and conventional milling operations. Overall length is 1.5 inches with a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank.
This end mill is intended for precision milling operations in CNC machining centers and toolholder setups where tight tolerances on small-diameter features are required. Primary material applications include ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, alloy steel, titanium alloy, and Inconel. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner tooling. It is suited for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup, making it practical for shops running complex aerospace, medical, or industrial component work.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, alloy steel, and Inconel workpieces.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the manufacturer-specified gauge line before tightening to avoid runout. Verify spindle speed and feed parameters for the specific workpiece material before engaging the cut. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius for wear or chipping before each use, particularly when working with abrasive alloys.
