The TITAN USA TC27955 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in superalloys, titanium, stainless steel, cast iron, and alloy steel including Inconel. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and extends tool life in high-stress cuts. The AlCromax (ALCRO-MAX) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and oxidation protection at elevated cutting temperatures. With 5 helical flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, the TC27955 handles both roughing and finishing operations from a single tool, making it well suited for aerospace, energy, and heavy manufacturing applications.
This end mill is built for use in CNC machining centers where cutting superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, and cast iron is routine. The extra-long 6 inch overall length and 3 inch reach make it applicable in deep-cavity milling and extended-reach situations where shorter tools cannot access the workpiece. The straight-cylindrical 3/4 inch shank seats in standard toolholders. It is a single-end, centercutting-style tool rated for right-hand helical flute operation at normal pitch. Machinists and CNC programmers working on precision components in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials will find this tool applicable across a wide range of profiling and slotting operations.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, alloy steel, and Inconel.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle at a complete stop and machine power locked out. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the toolholder to the recommended engagement depth before torquing the retention mechanism. Verify runout with an indicator before production cuts, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Follow the toolholder manufacturer guidelines for pull-out torque and clamping force.
