The TITAN USA TC26625 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including superalloys, titanium, stainless steel, cast iron, and alloy steel. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.015 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in aggressive applications. The AlCromax (ALCRO-MAX) PVD coating provides excellent thermal resistance and oxidation protection at elevated cutting temperatures. With 5 flutes and a high-helix geometry, this end mill is suited for both roughing and finishing operations. Licensed machinists and CNC tool-room operators are the primary installers and users of this tool.
This end mill is built for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a straight-cylindrical shank toolholder with a 1/2 inch bore. Its primary workpiece materials include superalloys and titanium, stainless steel, and cast iron, making it a strong choice for aerospace, medical, and heavy industrial component machining. The 3 inch overall length and 1 inch reach length provide adequate clearance for most standard setups without excessive overhang. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle configurations.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Rated for milling ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, alloy steel, titanium alloy, and Inconel. Shank diameter tolerance is h6 for consistent toolholder fit.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on carbide tools. Handle carbide end mills carefully to avoid chipping the flutes or corner radius during storage and setup.
