The TITAN USA TC25238 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in ferrous metals, superalloys, stainless steel, titanium alloys, and Inconel. It features a 5/8 inch cutting diameter, a 3 inch length of cut, and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces edge chipping and extends tool life in interrupted cuts. The AlCromax (ALCRO-MAX) PVD coating provides high heat resistance and oxidation resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. With 4 helical flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, it handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals specify this end mill for high-performance CNC milling applications where tool life and surface finish consistency are critical.
The TC25238 is classified as an extra-long length end mill with a 6 inch overall length and a 5/8 inch straight cylindrical shank, making it suitable for deep-cavity milling, shoulder milling, and profiling operations where extended reach is needed. Primary target materials include superalloys and titanium, stainless steel, and cast iron, corresponding to ISO material codes S, M, and K. It mounts in a standard cylindrical toolholder. The single-end, centercutting-capable design allows plunge entry where required. This tool is a fit for aerospace, medical device, and precision machining shops running aggressive tool paths on difficult-to-machine alloys.
Designed for use with standard cylindrical toolholders accepting a 5/8 inch straight shank. Suitable for CNC machining centers and milling machines processing superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC toolholder setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool-change mode is engaged before mounting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the recommended gauge length and torque the clamping mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for damage before each use; do not run a chipped or cracked carbide tool.
