The TITAN USA TC22828 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, Inconel, and alloy steel. It features a 0.50-inch mill diameter, a 1.25-inch length of cut, and a 0.12-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life on hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. The AlCromax (ALCRO-MAX) PVD coating provides high oxidation resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. With four right-hand helical flutes and a high helix angle, the TC22828 handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool.
The TC22828 is suited for CNC machining centers running ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and stainless steel in aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing environments. The straight cylindrical shank accepts standard toolholders. Its regular-length geometry and single-end configuration make it a practical choice for general-purpose profiling, slotting, and contour milling where corner integrity and surface finish both matter. The right-hand cutting direction and normal pitch are compatible with conventional vertical and horizontal machining setups.
Designed for use with standard toolholders in CNC machining applications. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, alloy steel, and Inconel. Corner radius tolerance is -0.0010 to 0.0010 inches; mill diameter tolerance is -0.0020 to 0.0000 inches.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and locked out per shop safety procedures. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully into the toolholder before torquing the retention mechanism to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout at the cutting edge with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut. Inspect the corner radius and flute edges for chipping after use on hardened or abrasive materials.
