The TITAN USA TC22813 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding material removal in ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.12 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in high-load applications. The 4-flute, right-hand helical geometry with a high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finish. An AlCromax (ALCRO-MAX) PVD coating provides thermal and oxidation resistance suited to dry or semi-dry cutting in hard and heat-resistant alloys. Qualified machinists and CNC tooling specialists install this end mill in standard straight-shank toolholders for both roughing and finishing operations.
This end mill is well suited for CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills used in aerospace, medical, and precision manufacturing environments where tight tolerances and difficult workpiece materials are common. The 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank seats in collet chucks or hydraulic and shrink-fit holders. With a 3 inch overall length and 1 inch reach, it handles typical cavity and profile milling passes without excessive overhang. The regular-length geometry keeps deflection minimal when working superalloys and stainless steel at standard cutting parameters.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloy, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Seat the shank to the full recommended insertion depth in the collet or holder to minimize runout and prevent pull-out under load. Verify toolholder cleanliness and shank condition before clamping; contamination or nicks on the shank will affect runout and dimensional accuracy.
