The TITAN USA TC22629 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding materials including superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron. It features a 3/16-inch (0.1875-inch) diameter with a 0.5 mm (0.020-inch) corner radius and four helical flutes with a high helix angle for efficient chip evacuation. The AlCromax (ALCRO-MAX) PVD coating extends tool life when cutting abrasive and high-temperature alloys. At 2 inches overall length with a 9/16-inch length of cut, it is sized for regular-reach finishing and roughing operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with a compatible straight-shank toolholder.
This end mill is suited for both roughing and finishing passes in ferrous and non-ferrous high-performance materials. Typical applications include aerospace component machining, die and mold work, and precision part production where edge radius blending reduces stress concentrations. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC spindle configurations. It is most commonly deployed by machinists and tool and die makers running tight-tolerance programs in materials that demand coated carbide tooling.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron (material codes S, M, K per ISO classification).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer's clamping specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill. Confirm shank engagement depth meets toolholder minimum requirements to prevent pull-out under cutting loads. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use and discard any tool showing chipping or coating damage.
