The TITAN USA TC20106 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit sized to Letter F, equivalent to 0.2570 inches in decimal. Designed for high-performance drilling in tight-tolerance applications, this bit features a 135-degree split point that reduces walking and requires no center punch on most materials. The bright, uncoated carbide construction provides excellent rigidity and is suited for drilling harder materials where high-speed steel would wear prematurely. With a 2-flute regular spiral flute design and a straight cylindrical shank, it fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. Total overall length is 2.5 inches with a flute length of 1.25 inches, keeping the tool compact for screw machine and close-clearance work.
This bit is intended for use in screw machines, CNC lathes, drill presses, and machining centers where short, rigid tooling is required. The screw machine length profile reduces deflection compared to jobber-length bits, making it a common choice for production drilling operations in metals, engineering plastics, and composite materials. It ships as a single unit and is appropriate for machinists, tool-and-die shops, and production floor technicians working in the 0.2500 to 0.3000 inch drill size range.
Designed for use in the 0.2500 to 0.3000 inch drill size range. Fits standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet holders on screw machines, CNC lathes, drill presses, and machining centers. Part of the TITAN USA Series 200 screw machine length drill bit line.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with rotating cutting tools. Secure the straight shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Always apply appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling metal to extend tool life and improve hole finish. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the bit if chipping or wear is detected, as carbide can fracture under interrupted cuts or excessive feed pressure.
