The TITAN USA TC17412 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, alloy, and composite materials. With a 3/16-inch cutting diameter and 1-1/8-inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers sharp, accurate results in tight-tolerance work. The AlTiN coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance, making it well suited for dry or high-speed cutting conditions. Three right-hand flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals select this geometry for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling tasks.
This end mill is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where a small-diameter, long-reach tool is required. The micrograin carbide substrate provides rigidity and wear resistance in demanding cutting environments. Typical applications include precision slot milling, contour profiling, and finish passes on hardened steels, stainless alloys, and titanium. The center-cutting design allows plunge entry, expanding application flexibility. It is a single-piece, single-end tool packaged individually for shop or field toolroom use.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard toolroom end mill for use in any CNC or manual milling machine that accepts a 3/16-inch shank via collet, end mill holder, or equivalent toolholding system.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use and do not exceed the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material.
