The TITAN USA TC17333 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and hard materials. With a 0.5-inch diameter, 3-inch length of cut, and 3-flute geometry, it removes material efficiently while maintaining edge integrity. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance required for demanding cutting applications. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. The bright, uncoated finish suits a broad range of workpiece materials where coating compatibility may be a concern. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, toolrooms, and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composites. The 3-inch length of cut allows access to deeper pockets and features that shorter end mills cannot reach. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional CNC milling center setups. The single-end configuration and 0.5-inch shank diameter are compatible with standard ER collets and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and manual mills. Center-cutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
Designed for use with standard 1/2-inch ER collets and end mill holders on CNC vertical machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines. Verify spindle RPM and feed rate parameters against workpiece material specifications before use.
Installation requires a compatible 1/2-inch collet or end mill holder; ensure the holder and collet are clean and free of chips or debris before inserting the shank. Secure the tool to the manufacturer-specified torque for the collet nut using the appropriate spanner wrench. Power down the spindle and engage the machine lockout before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or axial engagement for carbide end mills, as carbide is rigid but brittle and can fracture under excessive lateral load or vibration.
