The TITAN USA TC14908 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating, this tool handles hardened steels, stainless, and heat-resistant alloys where standard coatings fall short. The 1/8 inch diameter and 1/4 inch length of cut make it well-suited for fine detail work, slotting, and profiling in tight geometries. A 30-degree helix angle promotes chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals, the TC14908 fits standard 1/8 inch collets and tool holders.
This end mill is appropriate for CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring a small-diameter, short-cutting-length tool. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC setups. The centercutting geometry allows plunge cuts as well as peripheral and slot milling. Typical applications include mold work, prototype machining, and precision component production where tight tolerances and surface finish are critical.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8 inch collets or tool holders accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following proper toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or chuck to the recommended engagement depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout on a 1/8 inch diameter tool accelerates wear and increases breakage risk.
