The TITAN USA TC12624 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and hard alloy materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this tool delivers rigidity and wear resistance that high-speed steel cannot match. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating adds thermal hardness, making the TC12624 well-suited for dry cutting and high-temperature machining environments. At 3/8 inches in diameter with a 3/4-inch length of cut and 3-1/2 inches overall length, it fits a range of milling applications where tight tolerances and surface finish matter.
The TC12624 is used in CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and toolroom operations where slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling are required. The double-end design extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends before the tool is retired. A 30-degree right-hand helix promotes efficient chip evacuation during upcut operations. The Weldon flat shank provides positive drive retention in standard end mill holders, reducing slippage under load. This tool is appropriate for machinists, toolroom operators, and production CNC programmers working in job shops and manufacturing facilities.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch end mill holders and collet chucks compatible with Weldon flat shank tooling. Suitable for milling ferrous metals, stainless steel, and hard alloys where an AlTiN-coated solid carbide tool is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat against the set screw in the holder and torque per the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for damage before each use; do not run a chipped or compromised end mill at full parameters.
