The TITAN USA TC10416 is a single-end square end mill machined from solid micrograin carbide, designed for general-purpose milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 0.25 inch cutting diameter, a 0.5 inch length of cut, and a 2 inch overall length, making it a compact and rigid tool suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. With three flutes and a centercutting geometry, this end mill can plunge directly into material as well as execute conventional side milling passes. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working on manual or automated milling machines.
This end mill is well suited for use in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining cells running ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The upcut flute direction pulls chips up and away from the cut zone, which is particularly effective in vertical milling setups. The uncoated finish makes it appropriate for applications where a coated tool is not required or where regrinding is anticipated. Both the cut direction and flute direction are right-hand, which is standard for conventional spindle rotation on most milling machines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-production square end mill fitting any milling machine or machining center that accepts a 0.25 inch shank diameter tool holder, collet, or end mill adapter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state before tool changes. Ensure the shank is seated to the full recommended engagement depth in the collet or tool holder to minimize runout. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the specific workpiece material. Confirm tool holder cleanliness and collet condition before tightening to maintain concentricity.
