The TITAN USA MS99161 is a 60-piece cobalt jobber length drill bit set covering wire gauge sizes 1 through 60. Cobalt construction provides higher heat resistance than standard high-speed steel, making these bits suitable for drilling harder materials including stainless steel, cast iron, and heat-treated alloys. Each bit features a 135-degree split-point tip that self-centers on contact, reducing the need for a center punch and minimizing walking on smooth or curved surfaces. The straight shank design is compatible with standard three-jaw chucks. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. This set is a production-ready tool package for machinists, pipefitters, and metal fabricators working across a range of wire gauge hole sizes.
This drill bit set is suited for metal fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and field service environments where a full wire gauge range is required. The 60-piece index covers the complete wire gauge series from the smallest 60 gauge up through the largest 1 gauge, eliminating the need to source individual bits for precision hole sizing. The metal storage case keeps bits organized and protects cutting edges between uses. Coolant-through capability is not supported on these bits, so they are intended for dry or externally lubricated drilling applications.
Designed for use in any standard three-jaw chuck drill press, hand drill, or milling machine spindle accepting straight shank jobber length bits across the full wire gauge range.
Always power down and lock out the drill press or tool before changing bits. Secure the bit firmly in the chuck with a chuck key before beginning any drilling operation. Apply cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling stainless steel or other work-hardening alloys to extend bit life and reduce heat buildup. Allow the bit to cool before returning it to the index case to avoid warping the case or adjacent bits.
