The TITAN USA CS35005 is a combination drill and countersink designed for simultaneous drilling and countersinking in a single pass. Built from high-speed steel with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this tool delivers heat resistance and extended tool life in production and job-site environments. It features a 7/16 inch body diameter, a 3/16 inch drill point diameter, and an overall length of 2.75 inches. The 118-degree drill point angle suits general-purpose work in steel, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials. The 60-degree included angle produces a standard countersink profile compatible with flat-head fasteners. Machinists, toolmakers, and fabricators are the primary users of this tool in both manual and CNC drilling applications.
This combo drill countersink is suited for metalworking applications requiring a center drill and countersink profile in one operation, reducing setup time and tool changes. The right-hand cutting direction and plain cutting edge style make it straightforward to use in standard drill presses, lathes, and machining centers. The double end type allows the tool to be flipped and reused once one end wears, extending service life. It is appropriate for light to medium production work in machine shops, fabrication facilities, and maintenance environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use combo drill countersink for standard trade size 5 applications in drill presses, lathes, and CNC machining centers accepting 7/16 inch body diameter tooling.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists or toolmakers using a drill press, lathe, or compatible machining center. Secure the tool firmly in the appropriate chuck or collet before operation and verify that the spindle speed is set appropriately for the workpiece material and tool diameter. Always wear appropriate eye protection and ensure the workpiece is properly clamped before beginning a cut. Inspect both cutting ends for wear or chipping before use and replace the tool if edges are damaged.
