The TITAN USA CD50245 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in tough materials. Ground to wire gauge size 45 with a 0.0820-inch diameter, it features a 135-degree split point that reduces walking and allows drilling to start without a center punch. The oxide and TiN coating improves surface hardness and heat resistance. At 2.125 inches overall length with a 1.125-inch spiral flute, this bit is built for productive work in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium where standard high-speed steel bits fail. It is suited for machine shop, maintenance, and fabrication applications requiring consistent hole quality in difficult-to-machine materials.
The CD50245 is intended for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held power drills where precision drilling in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium is required. The right-hand, regular spiral flute promotes efficient chip evacuation in deep hole applications. With a maximum drilling depth of 1.125 inches, it is well matched to production and maintenance drilling tasks in metal fabrication, aerospace MRO, and industrial service environments. The straight cylindrical shank seats directly in standard drill chucks without adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement drill bit for use in any standard drill chuck accepting a 0.0820-inch straight cylindrical shank, including drill presses, CNC machining centers, and handheld power drills. Part of the TITAN USA CD50 series.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by a qualified machinist or tradesperson familiar with cutting tool safety. Ensure the drill press or machine spindle is fully stopped before inserting or removing the bit. Secure the shank fully in the chuck and confirm no runout before beginning a cut. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant at the workpiece surface when drilling stainless steel or superalloys to reduce heat buildup and extend bit life.
