The TITAN USA CD50219 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit sized to wire gauge number 19, equivalent to 0.1660 inches in diameter. It features a 135-degree split point for self-centering penetration and reduced walking on hard surfaces, and a spiral right-hand flute geometry for consistent chip evacuation. The oxide and gold coating improves surface hardness and lubricity. At 3.25 inches overall length with a 2.125-inch flute, this bit is built for high-production drilling in demanding materials. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance tradespeople reach for cobalt-grade tooling when carbon or HSS bits fall short.
This drill bit is engineered for cutting stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium — materials that generate high heat and accelerate tool wear. It is well-suited to fabrication shops, industrial maintenance environments, and precision manufacturing operations where accurate hole sizing in difficult materials is routine. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard Jacobs-style drill chucks on bench drills, drill presses, and hand-held drilling equipment. The 13xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports drilling depths up to 2.125 inches per pass without regrinding.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber drill bit suitable for use in any standard drill chuck accepting a 0.1660-inch straight-cylindrical shank, across bench drills, drill presses, and hand-held drilling equipment.
A licensed machinist or qualified tradesperson should secure the shank fully in a drill chuck and verify chuck key tightening before operation. When drilling stainless steel or superalloys, use a cutting fluid or coolant appropriate for the workpiece material to manage heat buildup, as this bit does not have through-coolant capability. Clamp workpieces firmly to prevent walking even with the self-centering split point. Inspect the cutting edges for wear after use in hard materials and regrind or replace as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy.
